£30.00 per person

On arrival – a curl of Scottish smoked salmon wrapped around a horseradish creamed salsa
with oat cakes

Starter
‘Cullen Skink’ with Mussels
A creamy traditional soup with natural smoked haddock, leeks, potatoes, wine & fish stock, finished with shelled mussels and served with home made fresh thyme bread
(Fact – Cullen is a fishing town on the Moray Firth)

Second Course
‘Haggis with Tatties & Neeps’
Filo pastry basket filled with haggis topped with a quenelle of potato & neep puree, finished with a mushroom whisky sauce

To a Haggis-
“His knife see rustic Labour dight,
An cut you up wi ready slight,
Trenching your gushing entrails bright,
Like onie ditch;
And then, O what a glorious sight,
Warm-reekin, rich!”

Main Course

Braised Haunch of Venison
Haunch of venison braised with rosemary and root vegetables with a rich stock an ale sauce, topped with sliced saddle of venison, served with sweet potato puree, braised red cabbage
and roasted honey mustard parsnips & carrots

Dessert

Butterscotch Bread & Butter Pudding
Sweet bread pudding with dried fruit, baked with egg yolks, cream and whisky, drizzled with a rich butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream, dressed with spun sugar
