Big Changes for The Wild Chef

LATEST NEWS….

It’s been a while since my last post, and there’s been lots going on keeping me busy…..

Following our move into larger premises, you can now book a cookery demonstration or tuition event direct with us at our premises in Mickleover.  We have refurbished our Mezzanine area to incorporate a ‘cookery theatre’ & private dining area with lounge & bar snug.  This is a rustic, quirky & casual space that lends itself ideally to a ‘country sports’ feel.  Please check out our Cookery Tuition page on the website for further details, and our Events Calendar page for details of our forthcoming events.
I have welcomed a number of groups into our Mezzanine including a local fishing group, Mickleover Art Group, a Brownie pack, business networking groups, corporate meetings & private parties – everyone is welcome to call over for a coffee to view our facilities – or take a look through the pictures on this page.
I have attended a number of shows this year with my game cooking demonstrations including The British Shooting Show, The Game Fair and The Midland Game Fair.  In addition to my cookery demonstrations at The Derbyshire Food & Drink Fair at Kedleston Hall, we also had a stall selling game dishes, where we SOLD OUT!  Everyone enjoyed the game inspired menu & we’ll be at the 2020 show with even more dishes on the menu, so please come over to see us.
If you have an event coming up, and would like to discuss cookery demonstrations, hospitality or food stalls, please do get in touch via our Contacts Page.

In July this year, I was awarded the very prestigious title of Food Ambassador for The British Association of Shooting & Conservation
(the largest shooting organisation in the country)
for my commitment to promoting game to the general public
& involvement in their Taste of Game campaign.
I am extremely proud to support BASC and the work that they do.

I am currently working on my next cookery book which is scheduled for release in 2021 – it takes time to put together all the recipes & pictures, but I am looking forward to seeing it on sale at Fairs around the County – watch this space!

I will be posting more regularly now, as there’s so much going on to keep you all in the loop with…..happy shooting & fishing!
